The Last Trading Card

If we were buying, these are the questions we would ask, so we thought we'd answer them for you.

What cards will we be selling?

We will be selling any cards which are no longer needed for our collection. That is the entire point of our store- to help send our duplicate cards to a new home which might help others to complete their collections. This will likely be some of the more common / uncommon cards as we don't currently have any doubles of the rare cards.

In terms of cards, we will initially have Pokemon and Disney Lorcana cards, but this range might increase in the future.

How much will the cards cost?

The whole point of our store is to make cards affordable to collectors. We understand that there is a place for flippers too, but we want to make it easier, especially for kids, to be able to complete their collections. As such, our current plan is to sell the costs at the list price of the Price Charting website, at the time that we list the cards (noting the prices might fluctuate thereafter).

Is the store directly on our website?

At this stage, we are looking at the most economically feasible method of listing our cards. You know, the less we spend, the less we charge, and it's a win-win. We''re considering eBay, maybe Shopify.

How much is shipping?

We all hate shipping fees, so we're doing everything humanly possible to reduce this cost. Each card is packed carefully with a penny sleeve, top loader, wrapped in plastic in case it rains, and then sandwiched between 2 cardboard pieces, and then placed in a standard envelope.

At this stage, we anticipate shipping to be $2.50 for up to 3 cards.

Why did you open this store?

We're glad you asked, and there are 2 main reasons:

1) To re-home our duplicate cards so they can help complete sets for other collectors

2) To help fund this rather expensive pastime!
